Kathy Do received her B.A. in Psychology and Sociology from UCLA in 2013. Following graduation, she worked as a lab manager for Adriana Galvan at UCLA. She is currently a PhD student in Developmental Psychology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Her research integrates experimental, neuroimaging, and longitudinal approaches to examine the sociocognitive and neurobiological changes that shape positive decisions or redirect problem behaviors during adolescence. In particular, she is interested in understanding how social influence and belonging shapes goal-directed behavior. This work seeks to leverage our understanding of the developing brain to better inform policies and programs that help improve the health and well-being of youth.
